February Christmas Card #1 ...

Hello my lovely friends and visitors, I hope your week is going well. I had this image outlined but I had not coloured it and it was left over from last years Christmas card making so I have been experimenting with ways to colour the baubles and here is the end result …

An A5 card
Good to post!
A final look

Created for me and especially for these Challenges

the watercolour pencils

I’m acturally quite happy with the colouring of the bauble and the way I was able to use multiple snippets too. The die cut poinsettias were from a hand made card my mum had received. She wanted me to pull them off and re-use them but I couldn’t do it, I know how much work goes into making cards so when I wasn’t looking she pulled them off and gave them to me to use on a card. I did make the mistake of asking about how she recycled the cards I had made for her over the years and was promptly told that she had kept all of those and how dare I think she wouldn’t keep cards her daughter had created for her lol!!

With the exception of the base layer all of the card and paper were from my snippets pile and the poinsettia’s had been recylced so this is what I would consider to be a free Christmas card. I used my new Tim Holtz Christmas sentiment dies to cut the sentiment and even they are bonus dies as you get two lots of sentiments from one cut. It’s one more Christmas card for the box and I am happy about that lol! Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and comment. I really do appreciate it and I hope you get some time to do what you love to do soon ttfn Karen x
