Snippets ...

Hello my lovely friends and visitors, I hope your week is going well and you have wonderful weekend plans.  I’m trying to sort out more of the papercrafting supplies in my craft room along with using snippets and wanting to play with new toys, lol, this time I decided to play with snippets and here is the end result …

A 150mm square card
I can't post this one lol!
That gorgeous bloom!
A final look at this beautiful card, thank you dies and watercolours!

Created for me and especially for these Challenges
Country View Crafts Challenge Anything Goes
Creatalicious Challenge #130 Anything Goes

Double D Challenge Anything Goes Birthday or Anniversary
I was inspired by the mood boards – just gorgeous!

Scrapy Land Challenge #81 Anything Goes
I used a Sizzix die

The background of this card is the left overs from my House of Cards January post, I loved the look I achieved on this background and I am seriously hoping I can create more like this when I’ve used what I have. The flower was also die cut from snippets, lots of coloured by me snippets, a large collage paper I created was used for the bottom layer of the die cut flower, there are also patterned paper snippets which were white on the reverse so I coloured them with Luminarte H2O watercolours. It has lovely depth and awesome texture but it is definitely a to hand deliver card because of the bottom layer does not flatten nor do those beautiful stamens I added to the centre.

I was able to purchase the die in the Black Friday sales at Sizzix UK. There posting is a on the expensive side but the savings you can get on some of their dies is worth the postage, this die is the extra large Tattered Florals Bigz which is 30cm long. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and comment. I really do appreciate it and I hope you get some time to do what you love to do soon ttfn Karen x

Gorgeous card Karen and that huge flower is the star of the show! I can see why you wouldn't post it - unless in a box?! Beautiful colours too.
