December Mixed Media Tag #2 ...

Hello my lovely friends and visitors, I hope your weekend is going well. The tag I am sharing today is also going to be used for Christmas present gifting too and here it is …

Love the bold zingy colours I used on this one
Lots of depth and texture too
All the details
The lovely Rubber Dance skates stamp
You can see some of the shimmer

Created for me and especially for these Challenges

I got very excited recently when I found what I thought was an old die that the shop must have misplaced. I hadn’t realised until I read Kath’s post on Instagram that Tim Holtz had re-released the Bigz Skates die. The Bigz Skate die is a die that I have wanted for many years. I have kept an eye out on ebay and such put the prices some sellers were asking put it well and truly out of my price range. I can remember seeing one offered for sale for £35 and no way could I pay that! So I have kept an eye out hoping that some crafter would get bored of it and pass it on – with no luck mind! So I was very happy and excited once I knew I purchased one.

In fact I was so excited to use it that I forgot to add laces to the skates on this tag and on another one I am going to share soon lol! I don’t mind that though because I know this is a die that will be used for many years by me because quite simply I love it lol! Funnily enough since purchasing this re-release I have managed to purchase another of Tim’s retired dies that I’m itching to use too lol! Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and comment. I really do appreciate it and I hope you get some time to do what you love to do soon ttfn Karen x

Happy for you that you found that ice skate die again! I didn't notice that you had forgotten the laces until I read your text. They look nice without, too! And very nice together with our skate stamp :-) Thank you for joining our Forever Challenge at Rubber Dance! ♥
